Nerve conduction in Morton's Interdigital Neuroma The nerve conduction findings in interdigital neuropathy of the foot have rarely been reported. We analyzed the nerve conduction data in 23 patients with suspected IDN studied between 1982 and 2002 I have a patient, female of 45. She has Asperger's syndrome and has always been 'told' she walks unusually, but this have never been formally assessed until my first appt with her. Does the tibia drive the foot or does the foot drive the tibia? Sit in a chair with one leg extended in front of you and fully extend your knee. Lift your foot so it is slightly off of the floor and so that your leg is extended in space. Now supinate and pronate your STJ. There is virtually no internal or external rotation of the leg that occurs with open chain stj supination and pronation. It seems that the only difference between Barefoot Science Insoles and Proprioceptive Insoles is that Barefoot Science has some orthopedic surgeons selling the snake oil.... Competing Theories in Podiatric Biomechanics Seminar I have made up a new lecture especially for this seminar to point out the old technology of high arched orthoses and that foam box casting in a supinated position is simply another way of producing this older high-arched foot orthosis technology that has existed for over a century. |
"Foot and Ankle Injection Techniques" provides the student and practising podiatrist with all they need to understand when, how and what to inject. To support the clinician and student, the text covers: changes in legislation; the full range of injectable drugs available to the practitioner; and, essential information on nerve physiology, drug action, equipment, patient selection, injection techniques and many other topics.
