Plantar fasciitis treated with local steroid injection I believe that plantar injections are much more effective at resolving pain than medial injections. Use of Video Gait Analysis in Running Shoe Stores When a running shoe retail store uses a treadmill and video for gait analysis, does anyone actually have any idea what they are looking for and how that information is then translated into a specific shoe recommendation? How do they recommend one shoe over another on the basis of the video gait analysis? Lowering the lateral column in the cast for foot orthotics I have been a fan of elevating the lateral column when there is a clinical need to facilitate tansfer of weight towards a high gear propulsion. However, some do the opposite. For example I know at least one flatten out the lateral column with the fingers following a foam box impression. Can someone explain again to me the rationale for doing this. Sleep deprivation and achilles tendonitis I have a problem patient and would like some assistance. She has severe sleep apnea / sleep disturbance / insomnia and suffers from chronic Achilles tendinosis, initially unilateral, now bilateral. Anyone aware of a connection? Foam casting, 3 point pressure video A Quick Demo of one method of taking casts for Orthoses using "biofoam", by Robert Isaacs. This is the "3 point pressure" method, there are others I use.
