Stretching Before a Run Does Not Prevent Injury

More than 70 million people worldwide run recreationally or competitively, and recently there has been controversy regarding whether runners should stretch before running, or not at all. This study included 2,729 runners who run 10 or more miles per week. Of these runners, 1,366 were randomized to a stretch group, and 1,363 were randomized to a non-stretch group before running. Runners in the stretch group stretched their quadriceps, hamstrings, and gastrocnemius/soleus muscle groups. The entire routine took 3 to 5 minutes and was performed immediately before running.

MRI required to prescribe Orthotics says Orthopaedic Surgeon
A runner /patient with a prominent navicular and os navicularis was informed by an orthopaedic surgeon that an orthotic could only be prescribed with an MRI (and only by using the MRI), and that only 'soft' insoles could be of benefit.

I am curious as to how many foot surgeons are utilzing the mini-tight rope/bunionectomy procedure and what their results have been including patient satisfaction and post-operative results.

Haemachromatosis

A patient with osteomyelitis and diabetes is generally unwell and should have fever and most importantly uncontrolled high sugar level.

Of course X-Ray can be used as a first line investigation.
